And just like that, a twelfth of 2017 is already gone. This January I had my golden birthday and turned 19, moved into a new apartment with three close friends and started my second semester of my first year of college! I have been so blessed with such a great support system of friends and family that support me in everything I do.
Even though I have just begun my second semester, I can already feel my first year coming to a close. As mentioned before in previous posts, I am going back and forth debating the option of switching schools or staying where I am for one more year. With such a tough decision in front of me, I am forever grateful for the amount of people that have helped me weigh in on my decision. Even though I have not quite made up my mind, I know that people will support me no matter what and that’s really all I could ever ask for.
Anyone that know me that even though I’m 19 in age, I’m still a child at heart. It feels like just yesterday that I was turning three years old with a Spongebob themed birthday party at our local pizza restaurant. It still feels strange to me that I’ve already spent one year being an “adult” (and I use the word adult very loosely…). I can’t wait to see what 19 has in store for me!
For now, I’m just focusing on taking life one day at time. I’m still getting a handle on my new college classes as well as managing my time better. Looking back on the first month of 2017, all I can say is, so far so good!
