Month Recap: February

Just because February is the shortest of all months does not mean that it has felt that way by any means. (With the way I write these type of blog posts, I feel almost as if I should just become a horoscope writer…). Anyways, to say the least, this month has been busy with a capital B.

To quick sum it up, I treated myself on Valentine’s day, completed 5 midterms (hopefully all with success), began to workout even more and started taking more care of myself, or at least I would like to think so. I’m not going to kid myself and say that this month has been great when it hasn’t been, because that just wouldn’t be fair to myself.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve learned more about myself and my relationships with other people. I know resorting to social media is not always the best thing to do when you’re having a rough time but let me tell you, Twitter is a god-send and has really helped me channel my emotions. I’ve learned not to let my happiness rest in the hands of others and I am currently working on implementing that idea into my life. I’m also starting to take more time for myself and focus on my needs as a person. (For more details on this topic, visit my previous post on Self-Love).

As I was saying, February has really been an eye-opener to me and even though it is only a few days shorter, it has shown me that a lot can happen in a short amount of time. This month I have learned to pick up pieces and put them back together (even when it may seem tough), realized the value in good friendships and found my true-self in ways I couldn’t have predicted. Although this year is already one-sixth over, I’m on the path of bettering myself each and every day.
